The Chicago Blackhawks lost an important game Saturday night against their Central Division rivals, the Nashville Predators. The game finished 5-2 for the Preds, and Ray Emery game into the game with about 4 minutes left in the second period in relief of Corey Crawford.
After 4 losses in 5 games, you would think Ray Emery would deserve a start tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but the losses weren’t Corey Crawford’s fault and Chicago Blackhawks coach, Joel Quenneville, knows that this could be a confidence boosting game for Crawford and the rest of the Hawks against the worse team in the NHL.

Ray Emery hasn’t played since he let 3 goals in on December 20th, and Crawford has been playing great, so unless that changes, I assume Emery will only get in to give Corey some rest like when the season started.

I honestly thought he would’ve started one of the two games this past weekend against the Dallas Stars since they were back to back. The next time the Blackhawks play games back to back is October 28th and 29th.
