We all know how Ray Emery loves boxing, he used to box when he was younger, and he used to feature different boxers on his goalie helmets until his most recent mask. NHL.com caught up with Sugar Ray to ask him about the passing of Joe Frazier, whom he met while he was a member of the Philadelphia Flyers.

“It’s sad to see him go,” Emery said. “Guys like that, they were big athletes, but they were big, political athletes as well. It was more than a sport back then. I was definitely interested in him and it was a pleasure to meet him.”
